EPISD arrests 18-year-old student in Andress-Jefferson soccer fight
El Paso Independent School District police arrested a student allegedly involved in the early February fight at an Andress-Jefferson soccer game.
He has been charged with aggravated assault causing bodily injury.
The student, whose name was not released by EPISD, was booked into the El Paso County Jail.
Online jail records show EPISD Police arrested 18-year-old Cesar Ramirez.
Andress’ roster shows that there is a Cesar Ramirez on the team.
He was given bond of $20,000.
EPISD officials say they do not expect more arrests in the incident.
ABC-7 spoke with a district spokesman who says EPISD cannot release the student’s name or booking photo at this time, pending a decision from the attorney general.
“The District is checking with the attorney general on the appropriate manner to release this sensitive information,” the EPISD spokesman told ABC-7.
