Police charge man with murder in shooting death in Central El Paso
A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder.
El Paso Police arrested Cortez Devonte Thomas on Aug. 6 at his home near Irvin High School in Northeast El Paso.
He’s being held on a half-million-dollar bond. Police are not releasing his booking photo at this time.
A police spokesman says Thomas shot 26-year-old Toris Deandre Knight multiple times Wednesday morning.
Knight was found near Cassidy and Van Buren and taken to University Medical Center where he died.
