Police continue to investigate East El Paso shooting death; no arrests made

El Paso Police have not made an arrest in the shooting death of a 22-year-old man on Friday night.

Police say at about 8:40 p.m. on Aug. 7, Shedrick Duffey parked his car in the 2000 block of Pueblo Nuevo in East El Paso when an argument occurred between one person and Duffey.

The situation rapidly escalated and police say Duffey was killed in an exchange of gunfire.

The two people, whom police called suspects in Duffey’s death, were taken into custody, questioned and later released.

Crimes Against Persons is continuing to investigate the incident which is why police are not releasing the names of the suspects at this time.
