Man fatally shot outside Albuquerque restaurant

Police in Albuquerque are investigating a shooting in front of a restaurant parking lot that left one man dead.

Police spokesman Fred Duran says officers responded to reports of a shooting outside a Village Inn in northwest Albuquerque around 11:20 p.m. Saturday.

Duran says police arrived and found one man with several gunshot wounds.

He was immediately taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Duran says investigators are conducting interviews but have no information about a possible suspect.

The victim has not been identified pending notification of next of kin.
