Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee meets Monday

City Council approved the Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee in February.

The committee has nine members who were interviewed and selected by City Council members.

Committee member David Nevarez says the committee was formed to serve as a source of information for the large veteran population.

The goal of the committee is to get the veterans’ needs out to the public for issues involving housing, education, medical and employment.

The meeting is scheduled for October 12 at 5:30 in the Trost Conference Roof. All are welcome.

Evan Folan reports.
