Drunk driving sends man and child to hospital

Police believe drinking and driving is to blame for Friday night’s wrong way crash.

Shortly after 10 p.m., police say, 23-year-old Aaron Ramirez was driving the wrong way on I-10 west.

Ramirez allegedly crashed his vehicle into a pick-up truck. He was taken to University Medical Center and is in critical condition.

The four-year-old, who was inside the truck, was taken to El Paso Children’s Hospital.
