Two motorcylists hospitalized in separate crashes

Two Las Cruces men are recovering at UMC after being involved in two separate motorcycle crashes.

The first crash happened around 5p.m. Friday afternoon near Mountain Road and Alameda.

Police say a man was test riding a motorcycle when he lost control and crashed. They tell ABC-7 that they believe speed was a factor.

The man was not wearing a helmet and suffered a head and leg injury.

He was taken to a local hospital then airlifted to UMC.

The other crash happened around 10 p.m. Friday. Police say a car crashed into a motorcycle at the corner of Missouri Ave. and Triviz Dr.

The man suffered head injuries and was flown to UMC.
