Visitors get lost in the La Union Corn Maze

The La Union Corn Maze is already up and running in New Mexico. Thousands of people from the borderland and beyond have poured into the the maze.Families filed the area, with parents taking young children through a smaller maze while older groups tackled the 12 acre labyrinth.

“You go around and around, man, and you get lost. But it’s fun, it’s real fun,” said Angel Moran, a maze visitor.

The bee-themed maze, with false trails and dead ends, is not exactly easy to get through. Organizers said it typically takes about 45 minutes to complete the maze, but those doing the extra challenges could be here for hours.

“It’s not like the movies where you pay your movie ticket and you’re there for an hour and a half, here you can spend 4-5 hours with your kids,” said Lucy Sondgeroth, one of the maze owners.

The Anthony attraction, open for only a few weeks a year, also hosts fall activities like hayrides, pumpkin patches, and a petting zoo where rabbits can be fed.

The maze will be open until Nov 8th, when dogs will be allowed inside.

For those not wanting to wait in line, tickets are available for purchase online through TicketLeap.
