Man pleads guilty in 2012 fatal hit-and-run in Fabens
A Fabens man on Wednesday pleaded guilty to charges connected with a fatal hit-and-run in 2012.
Lorenzo Pacheco pleaded guilty to accident involving death and tampering with evidence.
He will be sentenced in January.
El Paso Sheriff’s officials say that at about 1 a.m. Dec. 9, 2012, Pacheco ran over 20-year-old Stephanie Nicole Avelar and then drove off.
