UPDATE: One dead in overnight rollover collision

Update:

Special Traffic Investigators responded to assist with the investigation of a fatal traffic collision at 6500 N. Mesa.

A 2001 Chevrolet Trail Blazer driven by 37 year old Kristi Anne Moss was Northbound on Mesa when she was struck by a 2008 Hyundai Entourage that entered Mesa St. from a private drive without yielding the right of way.

The collision caused the Trail blazer to roll and both the driver and passenger sustained injuries.

Kristi Anne Moss was transported to University Medical Center where she died of her injuries.

22 year Michelle Bell, the front passenger was transported to Las Palmas Medical center with minor injuries.

The driver of the Hyndai Entourage, 72 year old Josie Elizalde was not injured.

No charges have been filed at this time.
This the 4th traffic fatality of 2016 compared to 3 this time last year

Two people were taken to area hospitals after a rollover Sunday night in West El Paso.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on the 6400 block of Mesa. Emergency crews say one person was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition. Another person was taken to Las Palmas and is expected to be okay.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash, but it’s not clear who was at fault or if speed or alcohol were involved. Special Traffic Investigators were called to the scene overnight, forcing Mesa to be completely shut down in both directions. The scene was cleared by 4 a.m.
