from our round the clock news team— two hospitalized after a fire breaks out at a mobile home — we have the details in a live report. also from our round the clock team—one person is taken to the hospital after being stabbed on the westside. “im glad to see the end o this.. hopefully it is the end of this.” but it was not a peaceful ending to the protest in oregon — after shots exchanged with law enforcement leaves one man dead. a very good morning el paso, las cruces, and juarez. i’m stephanie valle. and i’m hillary floren. good morning, everyone. we begin with round the clock coverage from san elizario. that’s where a mobile home went up in flames overnight… on the 300 block of fulbrook avenue. abc-7’s denise olivas is live on the scene with more… denise? the el paso sheriff’s office confirms one of the two victims has been airlifted to a lubbock hospital for treatment– a 51 year old man. an 18 year old woman was also inside, she is now recovering in a local hospital. firefighters have left the scene here on fulbrook, but the fire marshal is still here looking into what caused this mobile home behind me to catch fire. let’s get to the video from our round the clock crew. a sheriff’s office spokeswoman says the mobile home was engulfed in flames when crews arrived. it took the efforts of four area fire departments– san eli, clint, socorro and horizon– to put the fire out. officials also just confirming the the home is a total loss. the victims have not been identified. now to more to round the clock coverage from west el paso. one person was taken to the hospital after being stabbed earlier this morning. it happened at the las lomas apartments on the 500 block of rubin around 1:30. when our round the clock crews arrived on the scene el paso police were no longer investigating that area. no other details were released about the incident but the victim did have minor injuries according to emergency dispatchers. no word on what led up to the stabbing and no word on any arrests. we will see another cool…but sunny day today. well see a warming trend starting on thursday with temperatures this weekend well above normal. for next monday we will see the strong winds return to the area and the first of next week will be cooler with a chance for precipitation in area mountains. breaking news in that weeks-long standoff on federal land in oregon. investigators making several arrests overnight.. following a deadly confrontation between militia members and the fbi. the confrontation happening during a traffic stop outside the occupied wildlife refuge. when the smoke cleared. the group’s leader was in custody. and their spokesman.. killed in the gunfire. abc’s reena ninan has the latest.. in this story still developing now .. overnight, a weeks long stand off.. turning deadly. sot jason patrick “well i’ve heard couple people were shot and one person is dead investigators moving in.. taking down militia members, who have occupied federal land in oregon since the beginning of the year. group members… driving to a meeting.. when police pulled their vehicle over. nats?. then, a violent confrontation. shots ringing out. the group’s spokesman, robert lavoy finicum, killed in the gunfire. authorites arresting eight people, including the group’s leader, ammon bundy.. authorites have released little information about the confonfration, including who fired first. townspeople… growing fustrated with the occupation.. hoping this is the end of the 24 day standoff.. sot im glad to see the end of this.. hopefully it is the ends of this. reena ninan, abc news new york now it’s time to take a look at the tx-dot traffic cams… now to an abc-7 traffic alert—- starting this morning at 9 a.m. the left lane will be closed on gateway east between eastlake and the horizon overpass. that closure will be until 4 p.m.– the good news is crews will be repairing pot holes throughout the day in that area. and also this morning from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m crews will be doing maintenance on the east and westbound lanes of i-10 near fabens. the crew will be cleaning medians so the operations will be in different locations around the fabens entrance and exit ramps in northwest el paso. that will be happening everyday until friday. / we still have much more to come here on good morning el paso — including the latest on the closures for the pope that the city announced yesterday….and you’ll definitely want to be aware of them for next month’s visit. / “3.42 it’s a great tool. help us id any issue, esp dealing with vandalism.” plus—the city of el paso has an app that most of you probably haven’t heard of. …we’re going to tell you all about it after the break. stormtracker iris lopez has your detailed forecast. iris… and this is abc-7, where news comes first! it’s now
