people wanting to run for in the 2016 new mexico primary election. the filing period ended at five. abc7s jamie warren joins us live from the government center with the list of names. jamie? its been a busy day here at the county treasurers office. many waiting til the very last minute to file for candidacy in the 2016 election about a half hour ago everyone crowded into the treasurers office as candidates tediously drew cards to find out the order they’d appear on the ballot there are about a dozen positions up for grabs they include state representatives and senators, and county commissioners. here are some of the races to watch: r republican incumbent andy nunez will go against former city concilor nathan small in the general election. and to replace embattled county treasurer david gutierrez, some of his employees are lining up. chief deputy treasurer eric rodriguez will face shannon reynolds and former mayoral candidate gina montoya-ortega. the winner will face former chief deputy treasurer jill johnson in november. in the race for district attorney, incumbent mark d’antonio and james a. dickens will face off in the democratic primary, then go up against republican lane brad cates. three out of the five seats in the county commission are up for election. incumbents david garcia and wayne hancock signed up to defend their seats. leticia benavidez has termed out. primary election is june 7 early voting begins may 10 live from gov center with our nmmn jamie warren abc7 jamie, live in als cruces tonight. thank you. #pledge for parity. that’s the theme of jamie, live in als cruces tonight. thank you. #pledge for parity. that’s the theme of this
