Ft. Bliss Police backed by EPPD in search of soldier

The El Paso Police Department assisted Fort Bliss Police in the search of a soldier early Monday morning in east El Paso.

EPPD confirmed it assisted Fort Bliss Police, but it is not clear if anyone was taken into custody on the 3300 block of Itasca.

EPPD and military police vehicles were at the scene.

The ABC-7 newsroom received e-mails about possible threats made to Fort Bliss.

Fort Bliss dispatch would not confirm any information, but did tell the ABC-7 newsroom that the public affairs office would address the situation later.
