from mission early college high school are taking a strong message to state competition this week. and you can help them win. good morning el paso’s denise olivas is live to explain… denise? the team is made up of four young ladies who placed first in the local “health occupations students of america” competition– or hosa for short. it’s a student organization aimed to inspire future health professionals. now they need to show that their 30-second public service announcement can make a difference: “3 seconds of vid the psa is titled “sitting is death– it’s all about physical activity.” i shows how not being active can lead to illness or even death. they’ve been working on this video for months. the team is taking the psa to galveston this week for the state competition. sharing the video through social media will also help them win– by showing that they are reaching and hopefully making an impact: 2:56-3:10 “we want to know that we’ve actually touched them that we’ve actually sent the message across, that we’ve inspired them to, if it’s not immediately them getting a membership at least it’s them being conscious” to help them win– they need as many shares and likes via social media. i posted their full length 30-second video on the kvia facebook. find it there at share it. the el paso county sheriff’s office is looking for
