Woman injured while hiking Tom Mays Park
A 25-year old woman was injured while hiking up theAztec Cave Trail at Tom Mays Park.
Fire officials say the woman was hiking Saturday afternoon when she injured herself. Crews located the woman around noon Saturday. Officials say she injured her ankle because she wasn’t wearing proper shoes.
After two hours, the woman was carried in a basket where a Gator vehicle brought her down the rest of the way. She was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
