One person is in the hospital after a car crashed into a building in downtown El Paso early Monday morning.
The crash happened around 2:30 in the morning on the 600 block of North Mesa. It’s unclear how the crash happened, but two vehicles were involved in the incident. Emergency dispatchers tell ABC-7 that one person was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.
The building which houses a nightclub called “The Edge” (formerly the location of “Club Alive”) and the China Pearl Restaurant was seriously damaged. A security guard at the bar Monday morning confirmed the venue recently changed names. The car crashed into the back of “The Edge” nightclub, leaving bricks and debris all over the street. At this point it is unclear how much damage the China Pearl Restaurant may have sustained.
