Showers are slowly moving out of Dona Ana County into portions of Otero and Hudspeth counties

Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue to move eastward across the Borderland Friday morning. Heavy rain, lightning and wind gusts to 35 mph are possible with the passage of these storms. Showers are expected to continue tracking east through the early morning and afternoon. The Borderland will be dry Saturday and Sunday. Monday and Tuesday a deep Pacific storm system will cause stronger winds and slight rain chances.

EL Paso:
Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Highs around 82 degrees. southeast winds 5 to 15 mph.

Partly cloudy with a 20% chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Lows around 61 degrees. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Las Cruces:

Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms.
highs around 80 degrees. East winds 5 to 15 mph

Tonight: Partly cloudy with a 10% chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Lows around 57 degrees. South winds up to 5-10 mph
