Two inmates escape from La Tuna

U.S. Marshals are looking for two inmates who walked away from the La Tuna prison.

Christian H. Lara, 34, was discovered missing at 12:15 a.m. Friday 35-year-old Gustavo Eraclio Corral was discovered missing at about 9:50 a.m.

Federal officials did not provide photos of Lara or Corral.

Lara is serving a 10 year prison sentence for “Conspiracy to Distribute” and “Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine and Marijuana.” He is described as an Hispanic male, 5’10” tall, weighing 213 pounds.

Corral was sentenced to 15-and-a-half years in prison for “Conspiracy to Import A Controlled Substance.”

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the inmates is urged to call the U.S. Marshals Service at (915) 534-6779.

La Tuna is a minimum security facility at 8500 Doniphan Road in Anthony, Texas. It houses approximately 235 minimum security offenders, federal officials said.
