Crash kills motorcyclist on I-10 West at Geronimo

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash about 11 a.m. Saturday on I-10 West at Geronimo Drive.

I-10 west was closed for approximately four hours in that location while the accident was cleared.

Police identified the motorcyclist as 57-year-old Michael Wittenbrink.

Police say Wittenbrink was heading west on I-10 when he lost control of his bike and slammed into the median. Wittenbrink was taken to University Medical Center, where he died.
