Grand jury indicts man accused of molesting girl
A grand jury has indicted a man accused of molesting a girl under the age of 13.
57-year-old Gerald Chavez was indicted on one count of criminal sexual penetration of a minor and two counts of criminal contact of a minor.
Investigators say Chavez molested the girl between April and November of this year. The man also admitted to molesting other children in the past.
If convicted, the man faces up to 18 years in prison for criminal sexual penetration of a minor and up to six years behind bars for each count of criminal contact of a minor.
