Franklin Boys soccer are Community Champions

The Franklin boys soccer team is headed to the playoffs and will host their first ever home playoff game against Midland Lee on Friday at 2 p.m.

The team may only be 12-9 on the season, but it was good enough for a playoff berth and a home matchup and a visit with the top team in it’s district in Midland Lee.

The players though, are ready for the challenge.

Dante Filero, the Franklin keeper said records don’t matter at this point, and it is all about taking the playoffs one match at a time.

“The important thing in playoffs is everyone is 0-0,” Filero said. “It doesn’t matter how your season went up to this point, and we just have to play this game with a strong mindset and be calm but strong.”
