TMZ: Comedian Charlie Murphy dies after battle with leukemia
Charlie Murphy, the older brother of actor Eddie Murphy, died at the age of 57 after battling Leukemia, TMZ reports.
The news and entertainment website cites Murphy’s manager. Murphy reportedly died in a New York City hospital, where he had been undergoing chemotherapy, TMZ reports.
Murphy rose to fame on Comedy Central’s “Chappelle’s Show.”
He starred in some of Dave Chapelle’s most memorable skits, including the Rick James and Prince pieces.
