Temps heat up the rest of the work week

A ridge of high pressure will move into the Borderland Wednesday. Temperatures will run above normal through Friday. Thursday and Friday, a series disturbances will bring us strong westerly winds, some blowing dust, and critical fire weather conditions.

The upcoming holiday weekend should see plenty of sunshine, less wind and continued warm temperatures. But by late Sunday into Monday, subtropical moisture will enter the Borderland increasing our chances for rain showers and thunderstorms through Thursday.
