Protesters interrupt NM State of the State speech
New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez was interrupted by immigration protestors during her State of the State address Tuesday afternoon in Santa Fe, N.M.
The demonstration was reportedly conducted to encourage U.S. Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich to vote in favor of passing the Dream Act, a pending proposal that offers protection to young immigrants.
The Albuquerque Journal also reported that the protest was organized by New Mexico Dream Team, a group of undocumented youth advocating for the passage of the Dream Act.
