Telephone tip leads to possession arrests
El Paso deputies say a telephone tip leading to a traffic stop, helped arrest two men who allegedly had possession of marijuana and controlled substances.
Deputies searched the vehicle at the intersection of Dyer and Sierra Vista on Thursday, January 18 and found one pound of high-grade marijuana, commonly know as “Kush”.
Further investigation led to a search warrant at a Northeast El Paso residence, where four more pounds of “Kush” were found, a long with additional items containing liquid and hardened THC oil. The street value of the “Kush” seized is approximately $34,000.
Both men were booked to the El Paso County Detention Facility. Jared McDonald, 25, was booked for possession of marijuana of more than four ounces, less than five pounds. Evin Alanis, 25, was booked for possession of a controlled substance of less than one gram.
