White Sands officials: Children took inappropriate photos

White Sands Missile Range officials say the FBI has concluded an investigation into possible explicit photos of children found at the Army installation’s daycare center in southern New Mexico, finding that children took the photos and that no adults were involved.

The Las Cruces Sun-News reports the investigation began in December after allegations surfaced of inappropriate photos of children on iPads at the Thomas J.P. Jones Child Development Center.

Officials say the investigation found that about 20 photos were taken by two children ages 4-5. Investigators reviewed the center’s surveillance footage, which verified no adults were involved.

Officials say the FBI discovered no evidence of criminal action.

Officials say changes have been made to address procedure issues at the center.
