Investigators arrested and charged two people allegedly in possession of more than 25 pounds of cocaine.

Police officers stopped 36-year-old Sarah Mendoza as she was driving a Lincoln Navigator hauling a small trailer. Mendoza was allegedly speeding 60 miles per hour in a 50 miles per hour zone on I-10 East.

The traffic stop was made shortly after 3:00 pm in the 600 block of Executive Center.

Investigators identified 47-year old David Krahn as the front seat passenger in the Lincoln.

An El Paso Police K-9 allegedly located 10 bundles of wrapped cocaine inside the trailer. The total weight of the cocaine was 26.32 pounds.

Mendoza and Krahn were charged with “Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance (Cocaine) Over 400 grams.” Both were booked into the El Paso County Jail on bonds of $500,000 each.
