Chamberino, N.M., man faces 12 felony sexual assault charges

A Chamberino, N.M., man was arrested after a girl said that he had sexually assaulted her on two occasions, the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Jacob Terrones, 22, faces nine counts of criminal sexual penetration of a child who is younger than 16 years old and three counts of criminal sexual contact with a minor.

All charges are fourth-degree felonies.

According to court documents, Terrones was asked to give the girl a ride home last summer. The victim told a forensic interviewer that Terrones had sexually assaulted her and forced her to have oral sex.

Terrones was arrested on May 12.
