Short pursuit in Central El Paso ends with two arrests

A spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety said two people were arrested following a short pursuit Wednesday evening.

It happened around 7 p.m. on US 54, the spokesman said the pursuit ended with a crash on Marr Street and Bliss Avenue. The two people inside the vehicle allegedly fled the scene, troopers were able to catch up with the two people a short while later.

Troopers said the two people were arrested and no serious injuries were reported.
