Alert issued for missing Sunland Park woman believed to be in danger

SUNLAND PARK, New Mexico -- State police issued a Silver Alert Thursday for a missing Sunland Park woman "believed to be in danger if not located."

Margarita Paz, 51, was last seen walking along McNutt Road in Sunland Park around 5 p.m. on New Year's Eve.

Police described Paz as Hispanic, 4'5", weighing 142 pounds with brown hair that is dyed blonde and brown eyes.  She was wearing black pants, a purple-colored shirt and a purple jacket at the time of her disappearance.

Authorities asked anyone with information on Paz to contact Sunland Park Police at 575-589-6600.
