Pair of inmates walk away from La Tuna prison

Two La Tuna inmates reportedly walked away from satellite camps Sunday morning.

Immanuel Anderson, 33, and 45-year-old Gerardo Morales were discovered missing from the federal correctional facility at 3:10 am.

Anderson was sentenced in the U.S District Court for the Northern District of Texas to 135 months for distribution and possession with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of cocaine and aiding and abetting.

Morales was sentenced for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 50 grams and more of methamphetamine and 500 grams and more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine.

La Tuna is a minimum-security facility that currently houses 313 male offenders.
