Mother accused of throwing daughter off bridge
A mother is under arrest, accused of throwing her 4-year-old girl into a Florida river.
A dive team pulled the body of Je’Hyrah Daniels from Tampa’s Hillsborough River on Thursday.
Daniels was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
The girl’s mother, Shakayla Denson, is charged with murder, child abuse and grand theft auto.
According to ABC News, police alleged that Denson, 26, had stolen a Nissan Altima from an auto repair shop and parked the car near the river.
Witnesses told police she waded into the river with her child and tossed the child in before leaving.
