Streetcar No. 1515 returns to El Paso

Sunday morning, El Paso welcomed home the fifth renovated PCC streetcar.

Car No. 1515 is the first streetcar with an orange color scheme.

The streetcar was renovated as part of the project.

Car No. 1515 was unloaded Sunday morning following the 1,800 mile trip from Pennsylvania to El Paso, according to the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority.

The truck that carried Car No. 1515 entered Downtown El Paso and was accompanied by an escort.

The streetcar was then unloaded at Father Rahm Avenue.

Once the streetcar was unloaded, it was transported to the maintenance and storage facility at 601 South Santa Fe Street to be inspected by the CRRMA and Sun Metro.
