Man dies one month after being involved in two vehicle accident
Jose Gonzalez, 58, died from injuries he sustained after being involved in a two vehicle accident that happened on October 5th.
According to police reports, a 2014 Chevy Equinox, which was being driven by 39-year-old Jose Gonzalez Jr, was traveling southbound on Bartlett when it was hit by a 2017 Toyota Yaris that was being driven by 20-year-old Priscilla Arreola.
When special traffic investigators arrived on the scene they revealed that the Toyota Yaris attempted to make a left turn onto Sunny Sands and collided into Gonzalez Jr.’s vehicle. Jose Gonzalez was a passenger in the Chevy.
Arreola was not injured, but all passengers in the Chevy Equinox including Jose Gonzalez Jr, Maria De Luna, 66, and Vanessa Gonzalez, 35, were transported to UMC with non-life threatening injuries.
Jose Gonzalez suffered life threatening injuries and he later died of those injuries on November 4th.
According to police, this is the 58th fatality of 2018 compared to 45 at the same time in 2017.
