TRAFFIC ALERT: All lanes on I-10 East closed near McRae

UPDATE: The eastbound lanes on I-10 near McRae are now open.

ORIGINAL TRAFFIC ALERT:

All lanes on I-10 East are closed just past the McRae Exit. Traffic heading east is backing up into the Cielo Vista Mall area. ABC-7 is working to confirm the exact cause of the closure.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation website, at about 10:43 a.m., crews began removing debris from the eastbound lanes near I-10 East and Yarbrough. It is unclear if that is why all of the eastbound lanes are closed near McRae farther west.
