Caught on video: Motorcyclist arrested after chase along I-10 through El Paso

EL PASO, Texas -- A motorcyclist was jailed Thursday after leading Texas state troopers on an early morning chase along Interstate-10 from Sunland Park to Piedras and back again.

That chase, which lasted about 15 minutes, came to an end when authorities said the motorcyclist ran out of gas. Much of the pursuit was captured on Texas Dept. of Transportation traffic cameras. (You can watch it in the video player at the top of this article.)

Uriel Gonzales Jr., 22, is facing charges of evading arrest and drug possession. He was booked into the downtown El Paso jail.

Authorities said the chase began when a trooper noticed the motorcycle's registration had been expired for five years, and attempted to pull over Gonzalez failed.
