Doña Ana County virus cases reach 180; New Mexico at nearly 4,300 with 7 new deaths

SANTA FE, New Mexico -- New Mexico state health officials on Wednesday announced 153 additional cases of the coronavirus, including seven new infections in Doña Ana County.

Statewide there were seven new deaths linked to the virus, bringing New Mexico's death toll to 169. Doña Ana County held steady at just two fatalities to date.

The number of total virus cases across the state reached 4,291, with 180 of those in Doña Ana County.

As of Wednesday, there were 193 New Mexicans hospitalized, while 1,073 people were listed by health officials as having recovered from virus illness.
