Virtual reality research lab unveiled at New Mexico State University

Could New Mexico State University be turning into the next big technology hub?

A group of students and professors are transforming their school into a major technology center of the future.

The Addison Care Virtual Reality Lab was dedicated Wednesday with more than $350,000 invested by Las Cruces-based health technology company Electronic Caregiver.

Staff and students will use the lab to conduct aging and functional lifespan research, along with research of visual search scenarios and motor performance environments.

The lab could potentially become a considerable job creator, allowing students to come in on the cutting edge of the virtual reality industry and help them get a job out of school

Electronic Caregiver says it’s collaborated with NMSU for a decade to advance technologies and create new platforms for health and wellness assessment.
