Grammy nominees revealed: El Paso’s Khalid up for Record of the Year for ‘Talk’

EL PASO, Texas — The nominations for the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards were announced Wednesday and El Paso native Khalid is up for one of the top honors.

The Americas High School alum turned R&B star is in the running for Record of the Year for his hit single “Talk.”

The Grammys will be handed out January 26 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The awards will be presented in 84 categories to honor the best recordings released between October 1, 2018, and August 31.
