New Mexico State University to send off their WAC Champion baseball team to NCAA Tournament

NMSU

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico -- NMSU is inviting you to cheer on the Aggies Baseball team as they depart to Corvallis, Oregon for the Corvallis Regional, part of the  NCAA tournament.

The Aggies are entering the tournament for the first time since 2018 as a four-seed. Their first opponent will be host Oregon State.

Initially finishing the regular season with a 20-32 record, the Aggies went on an impressive post-season run, and finished with 4 straight games won to clinch the WAC.

They’re looking for their first tournament win in school history, and that may be a little tricky against Oregon State, who’s currently the 3rd ranked team in the nation.

Nevertheless, the sendoff will take place Wednesday, June 1 in Las Cruces at Presley Askew Field. The team will be there from 5:15 to 5:45 pm. The Aggies urged fans to “be there or be square.”
