Khalid presents $500,000 check to El Paso Community Foundation from benefit concert
The Great Khalid Foundation has presented a $500,000 check to the El Paso Community Foundation to help victims of the Aug. 3 mass shooting at El Paso Cielo Vista Walmart store.
The half-million dollar donation is the proceeds from Khalid’s sold-out “A Night for Suncity” benefit concert that was held on Sept. 1 at the Don Haskins Center.
Friday’s check presentation took place at the grand opening celebration of the new Great Khalid Foundation offices in The Courtyard office building at 7500 Viscount Boulevard, which is about a block from the site of the El Paso massacre.
