8 more El Paso virus deaths; hospitalizations drop

EL PASO -- Public health officials announced another eight people have died of Covid-19 in El Paso County on Monday morning.

The latest deaths included a man in his 50s, two women in their 60s, two women in their 70s, a man and a woman in their 80s, and a man in his 90s.

There were 289 additional virus cases reported Monday, for a pandemic total of 123,979, with the number of active infections at 6,044.

As of Monday morning, El Paso's hospitalizations for virus-related illness stood at 305 patients, a decrease of 22; with 113 listed in intensive care.
