El Paso mayor, judge unveil community vaccine dashboard

EL PASO, Texas -- Mayor Oscar Leeser and County Judge Ricardo Samaniego held a noon news conference Monday at El Paso City Hall to discuss coronavirus vaccinations.

The leaders made a joint presentation of a new community vaccine dashboard that is accessible at EPstrong.org.

The dashboard includes: the total vaccine doses administered; doses allocated; zip code data; and information about first and second doses, age ranges, gender, and race/ethnicity.

The data is posted for public view while also protecting individual privacy, officials said.

“Our EP Strong dashboard is exactly the tool our community needed to make informed decisions about their health, with current and accurate community-wide vaccine distribution data,” said Leeser.

Meantime, the city and the county continue working to create a combined vaccine registration system as opposed to the separate processes the two have been using to date.
