El Paso organization The Jazz Exchange hosting benefit jazz concert on Sunday

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - The Jazz Exchange, a minority-led non-profit organization dedicated to building the community through music, is holding a benefit concert this Sunday. Sunday happens to be International Jazz Day and April is Jazz Appreciation Month.

The 18 and over concert will be held at Vyable Coffee, 100 Porfirio Diaz Street, beginning at 7 p.m.

Scheduled to perform at the concert are The Jazz Exchange Alumni Ensemble made up of students from El Paso and Juarez, and the Jazz Exchange Big Band featuring organization co-founders Abel Mireles and Candice Reyes.

Tickets are $35 for just the concert, or $60 which includes reserved seating and a pre-concert meet and greet. All proceeds raised will benefit the many programs of the Jazz Exchange, including a summer camp from June 19-23 that will end with a jazz festival on Saturday, June 24th.

The Jazz Exchange offers audiences to discover new venues, meet new people, experience new artists, and mentor future generations of young musicians.
