Berry Sentenced To Life In Prison
EL PASO, TX. – Convictedcop killerTheodore Michael Berry was sentenced to Life in Prisonfor the shooting death of Rookie EPPD Officer Angel Barcena.
It took an El Paso jury just a few hours on Tuesdayto determine thatBerry wouldspend the next 40 years in a Texas prison.
The penalty phase in Theodore Michael Berry’s capital murder lasted nearly five days, as the jurydeliberated on the question of the death penalty or life in prisonfollowingBerry’sconviction of capital murder.
On Wednesday May 10th, jurors found Berry guilty of killing Angel Barcena, an officer with the El Paso Police Department.
Barcena was shot at Berry’s home in September of 2004, while answering a domestic dispute call.
