Gas Leak Forces Students From Northeast Elementary School

EL PASO, Tx. – A mid-morning gas line leak forces EPISD officials to evacuate a northeast El Paso elementary school.

A spokesperson for El Paso Independent School District tellsABC-7 all students and faculty at Crosby Elementary weremoved to Tobin Methodist Church shortly after 11am Tuesday.

According to emergency radio traffic, a gas line was hit behind the school, forcing the evacuation.

EPISD officials say parents can pick up their children if they want at the church located at 8410 Roanoke.

Officials added that students who cannot be picked up will be sent back to school once the fire department clears the school.
