PD Investigates Choking Infant Call In Anthony

ANTHONY, Tx – Anthony Policeannounced late Fridaythat they are investigating the case of a chokinginfant in the small Upper Valley community.

Anthony Police Chief Edward Miranda tells ABC-7 his officers were called out to an apartment in a complex along the 500 block of Omar 9:50 Friday morning.

Chief Miranda said that when officers and EMS arrived at the apartment, the door was locked. Eventually, the baby’s mother opened the door. Police say that’s when they found the baby unresponsive.

Life Ambulance crew memberspreformedCPR and rushed the baby to Providence. Officials tell ABC-7 the baby is once again breathing, however there is no word on the extent of the baby’s injuries.

Anthony Police haven’t released any information on arrests, charges, motive or suspect.
