PA Judge OKs Extradition In Mexico Border Slayings
HARRISBURG, PA. (AP) – A judge in Pennsylvania today ordered extradition of a man who allegedly confessed to more than ten murders near Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
But it’s not known how soon before the inmate will be released from a prison in Pennsylvania. The federal magistrate found probable cause to extradite Jose Francisco Granados de la Paz to Mexico. He has about two years left to serve on a U.S. sentence for an immigration violation.
Granados de la Paz, who’s a 29-year-old Mexican citizen, allegedly admitted to Mexican and Texas authorities last year that he killed multiple women in Mexico. The complaint says he confessed to being involved in at least ten homicides near Ciudad Juarez from on or about 1993 to on or about 2006 as “offerings to Satan.” An attorney for the suspect didn’t immediately return a call for comment.
