ERCOT Expects High Electric Use To Stay Cool

AUSTIN, TX.(AP) – Officials expect high demand for electricity today as temperatures in parts of Texas already topped 100 by early afternoon.

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas says it’s ready — no problems are expected in meeting demand. The peak demand record for the ERCOT region happened last August 17th. ERCOT manages the flow of electric power to millions of customers representing about three-fourths of the state’s land area.
