New UTEP Tailgating Rules

EL PASO, TX – Officials at the University of Texas at El Paso are warning tailgaters to be prepared for new tailgating rules that will go into effect during the Miners home opener against the New Mexico Lobos Saturday.

No glass containers will be allowed inside the campus and no tailgating will be allowed inside the new parking garage. People who park in the garage will be allowed to set up a tailgating camp in spots near the Sun Bowl.

In order to park in the new garage you must have a parking permit. Those without permits can buy a single-game parking permit for $20 or buy a season-long parking permit for $100. University officials recommend that parking permits be purchased Friday or early Saturday morning. The permits can be purchased at the garage.

Another thing Miner fans should keep in mind is the detour resulting from on-going construction on Glory Road from Mesa to Oregon. Cincinnati street will have to be used as a detour to get into the campus.
